Last Light: A Lighthouse Keeper's Night

A lighthouse on a rock in the middle of the sea, at night.

I made this because I wanted somewhere to sit when I can't sleep. You can leave it running on a second screen, fall asleep to it, or go up the tower and sit by the window while the weather comes in. There's no goal. The light goes round and the sea keeps moving.

WEATHER

Seven moods, from a calm night under a full moon to a proper storm with waves breaking over the rocks. Or set it up yourself with sliders for fog, rain, wind, sea, cloud, lightning and how dark it is. Turn on the living sky and the weather drifts around on its own through the night.

THE ROOM

At the top of the tower there's the keeper's room: candles, a coal stove you have to keep fed, an old radio on the desk, a bottle of wine, an armchair by the window. Open the window and you hear the storm properly. There's a notebook on the desk too, and whatever you write in it stays there.

WHAT YOU NEED

Windows 10 or 11. A graphics card from the last few years runs it on High; laptops without one should use Low. About 300 MB.

The first time you open it, Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" because the game is new and unsigned. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". It only asks once.
